Once probably the best selling pharmacy dispensing balance made; although of simple construction it is extremely accurate and durable. This balance is now widely used in education, laboratories and countries unaffected by the new minimum weight regulations applicable within the UK and the European Community. The Compact made today is still much the same as it was 30 years ago, a beam of aluminium with Swedish steel knives (precision ground to a fine edge), supports specially extruded shackles on high quality ”v” agate bearings. A stainless steel weight pan and a glass sample pan are arrested by means of a fast action trigger mechanism. The whole balance being constructed onto a red laminate covered baseboard and edged in black with 3 rubber feet. The new CE verified version employs a high specification spirit level and three adjustable feet.#

 Made to suit the pharmacy and the latest requirements of the government the Techno 25 is a highly sensitive balance made and tested to exacting standards. It is housed within a white and black powder coated metal case with a clear plastic sliding front. When not in use the Techno employs a full relieving mechanism to protect the precision ground knives and the "v" agate bearings. Adjustable feet and a sensitive spirit level allow for the levelling of the balance before use; adjustment of equilibrium is by means of a top weight and fine adjustment by a small flag. Ample pans are provided for both the sample and the weights the sample pan being of glass and the weight pan stainless steel. To facilitate ease of use the Techno balances use magnetic damping to help settle the beam during weighing operations.
